Nice place with excellent wi-fi, a fitness centre, 24-hour reception, and a bar/lounge area. The staff helped me find my lost ring during my first stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a great experience!

The unit was spotless and stylish.
The services were friendly. We got a room with a bathtub. Location: the hotel was near to the football club, the center of Gelsenkirchen, and supermarket and restaurants.

Very good breakfast with a large selection (also to be expected for the price). I find room request for access to breakfast very good. Clean and well soundproofed rooms (there was a construction site in front of the hotel of which we heard absolutely nothing). Many parking possibilities, during a game in the Veltinsarena (which is right next door) this might look different. Friendly staff. Lifts are fast and always free.
The fact that the WLAN in the rooms is fee-based (2.5 or 9.5 €/day) does not correspond to a 4-star hotel in 2019, and the televisions are also not quite up to date (rather computer screens). On one day the dishes were cleared a bit over-motivated during breakfast. While getting muesli, the glasses were already taken away while others were still sitting at the table (not bad, you take new glasses). The following day there was nothing to notice. The table was cleared after we got up.

We stayed one night. The room was clean and comfy, but the breakfast was pricey and lacking fresh options, a bit of a letdown.

Very good service and excellent value. Brand-new and stylish units with the nice welcome gift and the WiFi plus internet. Very large building, quiet and ideal location close enough to supermarket and Gelsenkirchen...

The hotel is a pretty normal mid/high level business one, with all the facilities you'd normally expect, and generally high standards. It's nice and quiet due to its isolated location (when there's no sport on), and if you have a car, it's quite convenient. Breakfast and restaurant selection is good, but not cheap. Staff are friendly and efficient. Its location at the Veltins-Arena makes it a good choice for sports events.
The hotel is quite remote from Gelsenkirchen city centre, and is in a major sports venue about 10 minutes taxi drive from town. There is a tram (No. 302) that runs from the main station U-bahn area to the arena in about 15 mins, and then it's a five minute walk from the tram stop to the hotel front door. It's easy enough, but you need to research it in advance. Breakfast is expensive, although a good standard. WiFi is charged at around €12.50/day. Minibar isn't stocked, and the guest uses a 'help yourself' small walk-in room in the lobby, which is then charged to the room.

missingWrote a review on 19 Octpoor hygiene
Some cleanliness issues noted, like stains under the toilet seat and a broken showerhead. Facilities lack sufficient toiletries and the bed comfort for serious patients is questionable. A kettle's absence with tea bags in the room felt pointless, especially at this price point.

Excellent bed, room well equipped and clean, window can be opened, good parking facilities. Easily reachable from the motorway.
The minibar is empty. The hotel policy is that guests go to the entrance hall and get what they need to fill up the minibar from a little shop. Not very convenient when you discover this only the moment you're ready to go to bed.

Ideal location only for the stadium
Staff not helpful almost rude at times with the exception of one or two waitresses and a cleaning lady. Up prices for tourists and football fans on food. Their security was extremely rude and rough. I had no dealings directly with them but I seen it and heard it. Management not bothered about unhappy guests. I had a fall in the bathroom and they didn't want to know
